Bruce Gabites is Managing Director and the principal photographer of Fine Photography. With over 16 years experience as a full time professional photographer, Bruce is a NZ Institute of Professional Photography Qualified Master of Photography.

"Great photography goes deeper than simply showing what you look like," says Bruce. "My passion is about telling stories through photography - stories about who you are and your relationship with those you love. When the qualities of intimacy, relationship and love come together in a moment of your life, the resulting image will endure as a piece of fine art - it will always touch your heart when you look at it."

Bruce has photographed around 500 weddings in NZ and internationally since 1995. The recipient of over 35 national photographic awards, Bruce is the only NZ photographer ever to have won the prestigious Kodak Gold Award (Wedding Album Category) in ten successive years (2000-2011). In 2012 Bruce won "NZ Wedding Album of the Year" at the prestigious Epson/NZIPP NZ Professional Photography Awards.

Bruce is a past-Chairman of NZIPP Auckland. He been a judge at the National Epson NZIPP NZ Professional Photography Awards and has appeared on TV and lectured to professional photographers throughout NZ. His photography has been published in books and magazines, both nationally and internationally and several of his wedding photos are held in a collection at The Museum of NZ Te Papa Tongarewa.

Bruce has lived with his wife Jane and sons Luke and Thom, both born at the very end of last century, in their home in the sub-tropical rainforests of Titirangi for the last 20 years. When not photographing, Bruce is sailing, surfing, diving, mountainbiking, skiing, running, bushwalking, practising yoga or occasionally just blobbing out.

Andrea Dip. Contemp. Photog.

   Andrea, Production Assistant and photographer,  holds a Diploma of Contemporary Photography and is a NZIPP Qualified Portrait Photographer. She plays a large part in the day to day running of the studio including overseeing the creation of our renowned award-winning wedding albums.

 Andrea is a passionate photographer - photographing weddings and portraits for the studio- she is also a whiz on Photoshop.

Greg

 Our videographer, Greg has the experience of shooting close to 100 weddings in the last decade. During this time he has recorded weddings in a huge number of locations so is very familiar with the sound and lighting specifics of most popular Auckland wedding and reception venues. Greg shoots video on the highest quality full HD (1080p as opposed to the inferior 720p).

When not shooting weddings, Greg shoots video for his commercial customers for television or in-house use. His customers over the last 15 years have included among many others, such high profile companies as Telecom, Roche, Vodafone and Harvey Norman. Greg is a member of the NZ Professional Videographers Association.
